 Participants of ICC level 1 Umpiring Course Düsseldorf Blackcaps Cricket club have 3 ICC Europe qualified Level 1 Umpires namely : Benjamin,Bipin and Tarun. The level 1 umpiring course held in 2nd week of Oct 09 in Mercure Hotel. Out of 19 participants, 12 been passed in final examination and awarded Level 1 Certified Umpires. Thanks to Benjamin for arrenging such a valuable course for Dusseldor Blackcaps and other teams in NRW region. Congrates to Benjamin, Bipin & Tarun for their success !! |

 On Wedenesday,22nd June, NRZ Newspaper had an exclusive coverage on Cricket in Düsseldorf at our home ground Nordpark. They covered our practice session, took few photos and a special interview with our Coatch Benjamin Das. This report was then published in NRZ Newspaper's Saturday's edition.  From the 1st of July Benjamin Das has taken over the position of Cricket Development Officer for NRW together with Indrajith Fernando. Blackcaps together with benjamin would welcome youngsters of all age group and sex to come down for a practice session and enjoy "CRICKET". Depending on the demand a separate training session for youths can be arranged. We are also looking for schools or colleges for promoting Cricket for kids and youngsters Please contact Benjamin at

Center TV Düsseldorf , one of the famous media channels was at Nordpark on Tuesday, 12th May, in order to shoot some videos and clips of our regular cricket practice session. Center TV is preparing a documentary on ''Cricket in Düsseldorf''. Approximately 445,000 households (technical reach) of the regions Dusseldorf, Mettmann & Neuss receive Center TV program on the cable network of Unity Media on S channel 18 (280.25 MHz). This Documentary will help to promote Cricket, and related activities across Düsseldorf and surrouding areas.We are trying to contact other media & news partners, in order to promote cricket amongst the youth people.Düsseldorf Blackcaps is also planning to organise ''Youth Cricket Development Program'' specially for Schools and Universities in future.
