Düsseldorf Blackcaps vs Bonn CS In first Pokal cup match,Düsseldorf Blackcaps beat Bonn CS when Bonn conceded the match with Düsseldorf Blackcaps needing 19 runs in 17 overs with 5 wickets remaining. Bonn team batted first and with good contributions from Nadeem (56) and Atif (46) scored 173. For Düsseldorf Blackcaps Suresh took 3 wickets and Bipin, Aman, Bhargav & Chris took 1 wicket each. Düsseldorf Blackcaps captain Asif got injured while trying to take a catch at short midwicket and was taken to the hospital to get 4 stitches on his right hand. It’s unlikely that Asif will be available for the remaining POKAL matches, which is a big blow for Düsseldorf Blackcaps. Bonn were off to a dream start when Düsseldorf Blackcaps lost the first 4 wickets with 45 runs on the board. Vishnu and Pardeep joined together to put on 45 runs for the 5th wicket. Pardeep played a nice little cameo and got out for 20. Bhargav joined Vishnu and there was no looking back for Düsseldorf Blackcaps as the two built on a good partnership. The highlight of the innings was undoubtedly Vishnu’s batting. He was awesome in stroke selection and supreme in his timing. He played an outstanding innings and remained unbeaten on 75. Bhargav who played couple of delectable strokes and gave solid support to Vishnu was not out on 14. The pair had put on 64 runs for the 6th wicket and at this juncture Bonn forfeited the match. |
