Blackcaps started their 2012 cricket season with an impressive win against XtremersCC. Inviting Xtremers to bat first in bowler friendly conditions, blackcaps could not make early in roads into their line up which resulted in a competetive score of 189 to be chased down by Blackcaps.
Frequent breaks during both innings due to rain made playing conditions all the tougher. With runs hard to come by Blackcaps lost their first 3 wickets with the score on 30 leaving their middle order with a lot to do.
Tarun, Asif, Ben and Sanil stood up to the task and got Blackcaps over the line with about 10 overs to spare.
